Protecting Middle-Earth: Creating the Ultimate Lord of the Rings Collection

Protecting Middle-Earth: Creating the Ultimate Lord of the Rings Collection

Tales of Men, Dwarves, Elves, Hobbits, Ents and beyond, eternally retold. The Lord of the Rings is a story that is as treasured as its titular One Ring itself. With the introduction of LEGO’s recent Lord of the Rings sets, there’s no better way to immortalise Middle-Earth and the stories it holds in physical form.Whether it’s Mordor’s tyrannic, towering fortress of Barad-Dur, the idyllic Rivendell valley or characters who inhabit the spaces in between, the LEGO Lord of the Rings sets have recreated their respective source material with LEGO’s usual eye for detail. Charming minifigures act out iconic moments, such as the Fellowship’s counsel on the quest to destroy the One Ring and Frodo’s final struggle with the Ring’s allure in Mt. Doom. Throughout all of these moments, LEGO has paid tribute with accuracy and intricacy.

It’s this accuracy and intricacy that makes the LEGO Lord of the Rings range more than just toys: they’re detailed scenes that take time and skill to create, resulting in a truly stunning visual once complete. All of us at Wicked Brick love the Lord of the Rings, so we’ve created  display cases for the LEGO Lord of the Rings range to ensure these brilliant sets get both the protection and celebration they deserve.

Our display cases not only provide protection for your LEGO Lord of the Rings sets, but they greatly enhance the composition of scenes with special, bespoke backgrounds and components. Our display cases are designed with as much thematic detail as the LEGO sets they protect - take a look and see what we mean with some of the LEGO Lord of the Rings cases we have to offer.

Barad-Dur

Fortress of Sauron and his all-seeing Eye, our Limited Edition Barad-Dur display case portrays the iconic tower against a backdrop of Mordor’s Plateau of Gorgoroth.

We’ve designed a printed base depicting the fires of Mt Doom for the set’s Frodo, Gollum and Sam minifigures to perch over, recreating the story’s final showdown.

To really complete the scenes composition, a now sold-out version of the case includes a stem to suspend a LEGO Fell-Beast, mid-flight around the tower.

Rivendell

Pristine and beautiful, the scenic Rivendell set is the pure counterpart to the Barad-Dur set but is by no means any less meticulously crafted. Our case expands the scene with a background detailing the valley sheltering the Elven town in secrecy.

For our limited edition case, we incorporated a lenticular effect to the backdrop, transforming the realistic backdrop into an illustrated, calligraphed style of the valley, harkening to the maps seen in both the film and later book versions of the Lord of the Rings.

Characters

Of course, no franchise that receives the official LEGO treatment is complete without brick renditions of their iconic characters, and Lord of the Rings is no exception.

We’ve created display cases for the Lord of the Rings Brickheadz range, covering iconic duos like Aragorn and Arwen, Legolas and Gimli and more. Not only do these cases house both Brickheadz in a set with a complementary background designed by our in-house team, we also provide wall mounted options too to free up valuable desk space so you can collect and display even more pieces.
