Description

Create your dream display for the LEGO® Star Wars: UCS X-Wing Starfighter™ set with our bespoke display case. Our display case has been specifically designed for the set and is crafted from premium Acrylic. The case has been designed to keep your set 100% dust free and protected. Our vertical stems and top plate attach securely to the underside of your Starfighter, holding it at a dynamic, space saving angle. Embedded studs in the base hold your Minifigure alongside the ship. Our included acrylic plaque adds a finishing touch to the display showcasing both the set number and piece count. Take your display to the next level with our in-house designed Star Wars inspired background.

A note from our background artist:

"The background for this display was heavily inspired by scenes from Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope. I wanted the design to have both bright and darker elements. To build this effect, I took inspiration from the Yavin planets which the Starfighter flies past on the way to the Death Star in the film. The bright surface of the planet creates a stark contrast with the darkness of space. The shining stars pierce through the void to create other focal points within the design."

beautiful stand, a little finicky

The stand is gorgeous and I love the way the Xwing is angled, however, I had to use museum wax to get the model to stay firmly on the stand. The piece that connects directly to the Legos at the bottom of the model kept coming off once it was mounted on the stand. It is very delicate so you can't really move the case with the model in it.

If you want it on time think again!

I ordered 7 boxes on the 30th June, delivery was meant to be within 6 weeks which meant mid August, I chased up after 6 weeks and was told it was due to ship in 4-6 working days, after numerous emails and missed dates the items finally arrived on the 12th September, just under 11 weeks from order. So be careful if you have a deadline like Christmas.

Having said that the boxes are excellent, I have a few with printed backgrounds and they have really improved since the first box I bought, there are also more fixings than previous boxes making them more sturdy, hence 2 stars not 1.
