I just recently moved into my first solo apartment and have been excited to, among other things, display some Lego sets I've collected throughout my 20s in my space. However, I'm planning on adopting a couple of cats in a few months, so I wanted a solution to display these sets without having to worry about the sets being played with by them and possibly destroyed, or worse, if a cat decided to snack on a piece of a set and choke. However likely that would be (which, frankly, seems not very), I was willing to pay a premium for the peace of mind that comes from seeing these sets in display cases.
And what I was not expecting is that not only is all the protection that comes from display cases present, but these things are so. freaking. NICE. Wicked Brick has this process down to a science; it's legit like putting a superhero suit on these Lego sets. They have gone from kind of cool nerdy things just being out in my living room to very intentional, 'draws-admiration-to-themselves' viewing objects that really speak to myself and the visitors who see them. Assembly was a bit time-consuming for a first-time builder, but the quality of the products are just unparalleled. It was a very long wait from the time of purchase - it took 3 months from purchase to delivery, about twice as long as the 4-6 week turnaround time that the Wicked Brick website states, but I could not be more thrilled with the quality of the final product.
Side note about my specific set: the plaque stating 900 pieces is actually not accurate, because I went and included Sandman from the #76280 Sandman battle set (and a couple extra pieces from that set, such as the Lizard minifig) in with mine, as displayed in the images below. Before purchasing I was mildly worried that the case would not be able to fit around the set if Sandman was included; as you can see, that was a totally unfounded worry. It looks amazing!!
5/5, would absolutely recommend if you can afford it.
